Partisan Furniture is a manufacturer of commercial furniture based in Bristol. We aim to bring great products to the dealer market and offer a wide range of finishes to give designers real flexibility to create spaces that excite and deliver for their customers.
Our manufacturing partners bring a huge amount of knowledge and expertise in their specific field. We have experts in upholstery, tube bending, frame making, steel manufacture, panel manufacture to name but a few. As experts in their field, they ensure we deliver high quality products on every order.
We believe that a business should be about more than making money and are committed to becoming a Climate Positive business as soon as possible. As a new business, it is difficult to calculate what our carbon footprint will be, so to demonstrate our commitment we have signed up for Climate Positive Workforce with Ecologi.
This will more than offset our individual staff footprints but it doesn’t take into account the footprint of our entire supply chain. So, in addition to the Climate Positive Workforce initiative, for every unit of furniture sold, we will plant a tree to help offset our impact. As we understand more about our footprint we will publish our impact, the steps we are taking to reduce it and also ensure we offset our footprint to ensure we are Climate Positive.
We also believe in complete transparency with our customers. The origin of products will be freely available and we won’t hide behind a ‘made in the UK’ tag for imported products that are simply upholstered in the UK. The value of a product isn’t derived from where it is made, it is about the quality and finish. That said, with a commitment to being a Climate Positive business we will look to source materials as locally as possible and will only import components if we feel the quality is superior to local alternatives. Any components that are imported will be offset by our Climate Positive actions.

The name
A partisan (from Old Italian partigiano) is a committed member of a group or club who is reluctant to compromise with opponents and is resolute in it’s aims.
An artisan (from French: artisan, Italian: artigiano) is a skilled craft worker who makes or creates material objects partly or entirely by hand.
We are committed to bringing great products to the market without having a negative impact on the environment. We are committed to customer excellence and delivering projects on time and snag free. We are committed to total transparency in all matters with our customers. We are committed to having a positive impact beyond commercial furniture. We will not compromise and are resolute in delivering on our commitments.

Further to our belief that business should be about more than making money we will also be launching a number of social initiatives so keep your eyes peeled for updates on both social media and here on our website.
Our task chairs are named after friends and loved ones who sadly decided that suicide was their best option. As the biggest killer in men under 45 (and also affecting women too), we want to help do our bit about something close to our hearts.
So, for every task chair we sell, we will donate £1 to CALM. Although it’s a small amount, collectively we can make a big difference in the world.
We bloody love our chairs and this just gives us a reason to love them even more!
